We shall tell you two different stories presenting different views on the artist’s biography: the first one is told by the artist himself and the other one – by his teacher, as none but a kindred person can see what other people don’t and describe it to us.
Rudnev Kirill was born on August, 2th, 1988 in the suburbs of Moscow in the town of Lubertsy.
Rudnev Kirill:
“I got interest in art and drawing when I was 6 years old. At that time I drew just scribbles and made attempts to copy pictures from books. As time went by my skills improved under supervision of O. I .Zhurin, my teacher; Oleg Igorevich is still revealing something new to me. In 1999, I became a student of the water-color school named after Andriyaka, where Aleksey Yuryevich Kravchenko – a remarkable teacher - taught. In summer, practical training was carried out near Vyshni Volochok at the summer residence of the Academy. I was lucky to meet the legendary Tkachevs brothers, the people’s artists who noticed me among my classmates and appreciated my success by giving me their sketch-book. The next step of my life was marked by entering the school attached to the Moscow Institute of Architecture where we were taught the ABC of drawing and architectural sketches. There I studied for two years. Then I entered the Moscow Architectural Institute where I studied only for one year and a half during which I saw that I have selected the wrong way and must change something. Good luck brought me to. During one year I studied English and made a series of paintings named Life in Monte Paraiso. Today I study at the Marbella Design Academy and I teach the classical water color painting at the ArtGalleryAlex studio”
Oleg Igorevich Zhurin:
"When Kirill was 5 years old I began to notice his inclination to spatial designing. He made interesting compositions of cubes, slices of plastic and mosaic bars and on the basis of my observations I came to the conclusion that he has a creative thinking. I was right: from his first steps he showed the ability to draw and invent fantastic subjects, especially sailing ships. When he was 9 years old, he started to make attempts in paint water-colors and sometimes we painted small landscapes with water colors together. He spent summer with his mother and me at our workplace. Our Restoration Special Project Institute settled down in a historical place in the former manor of the 17th century, which belonged to the Tsar Aleksey Mikhaylovich in Izmailovo located on the island surrounded by ponds.
Since the 17th century, some structures have survived (Pokrovsky cathedral, the Entrance Gate, the Pre-Bridge Tower) and Kirill made sketches and painted in water colors of them several times. Thus, he prepared himself for taking entrance exams at the classical water color school of the artist Sergey Andriyaka. He entered the school in 1999".
